But, elephants have many different abilities that many people are not aware of, like compassion and empathy. For instance, in Morell’s passage Elephants can Lend a Helping Trunk, she explains, Elephants realized they needed their partners to get what they wanted, so they would sit and wait for their partner to pull the rope. They were able to use cooperation to perform a given task. This shows, elephants can understand why they need their partner. Humans must use cooperation to do many things, in sports you need to work as a team to win. Showing elephants are very intelligent for being alike to a human.
