Ezekiel was a young priest who was carried away to Babylon during the reign of Jehoiachin. Ezekiel was never prophesied in the temple of Jerusalem because he was taken into Babylon and the Jerusalem temple was destroyed. Ezekiel had an important ministry to the Jews that were captive with him. He was captivated at Chebar which was a canal located near the city of Babylon.

Here are a few of them. In a dream given to King Nebuchadnezzar, God revealed through Daniel that there would be four world-ruling empires. These empires are Babylon, Medo-Persians, Greco-Macedonian and the Roman Empire. In the vison to Daniel from God these empires were represented as beasts. In the repetition of the prophecy about human world-ruling empires, Daniel further noted: “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed” (Daniel 7:13-14).
Daniel prophesied of the last times and of the end of the world. Ezekiel and Daniel were both prophets of the Lord and they both lived during the captivity of Jerusalem to Babylon. Ezekiel was dragged behind a horse whereas Daniel became the second most powerful man in the entire world. That is where these prophets differ Daniel was always powerful and had the wealth in life and Ezekiel was a prophet hated by the people.
