Compare And Contrast Flash And Odysseus
The flash and odysseus are similar in many different ways but they are very well different like the flash he has super speed and super sonic punch and he can throw lightning and can make light just by moving his hand, odysseus on the other hand well all he has is his sword but these two characters are similar, so here are my reasons the flash and odysseus are similar. Number one, let's talk about the flash first his mother died by a man who is called “professor zoom” aka “the reverse flash” he is called this because he is literally the reverse of flash. His father was murdered in front of him by “zoom” i know these name just keep getting better and better. His wife iris west was supposed to die by his evil time remnant who calls himself “savitar” aka “god speed” aka “the future flash”. Number one, but enough about the flash lets move on to odysseus as many of you guys know odysseus was not a superhero as a matter of fact he didn't even have powers, all he had was a sword, as there isn't much to say about this guy other then he is fearless and will not back down. …show more content…
The flash and odysseus are the same when it comes to the ones that they love, the flash will hurt whoever touches his family and the same goes for odysseus, odysseus will go as far as traveling the earth or just to go down to the supermarket to get food for his family and the flash will do the same thing as well but just wont kill anyone. The flash has been in a battle royal before and he has won many of times and he did not win the fight against the justice league and for odysseus he won many battles but he has last half of those

    Oedipus the King and The Odyssey share many similarities. The most important and significant similarity is that both epic poems are involved in a conflict when we first encounter the poems.     This caused the men not to be overpowered by the Sirens. Odysseus gave up his own safety to save his men's lives, showing a courageous act. Another example is, when odysseus and his men were trapped by the Cyclops, he devised a plan to free himself and the men.     In this essay I will reconstruct my first visit to Nigeria. The journey took place when I was seventeen in early 1993, during which time Nigeria was under the military rule of General Sanni Abacha. For the most part of my trip I stayed in Lagos, former capital state and still highly recognised as the commercial capital of Nigeria, although I did visit other parts of the country including Ondo State and Jos. Between this time and the time I left, in early 1994, I experienced and learnt a lot about the Nigerian culture. My main focus will be on the particular aspects of Nigerian culture that I saw as relevant to me as a teenager at the time, and also on my views before and after the journey. Up until the point of this journey I had lived most my life in the city of London and my cultural views were very much British. I was not very familiar with Nigerian culture, and the parts I was familiar with, which came mostly through my parents and other family members, were not very appealing to me. Thinking back now I imagine that one of the reason things like that did not appeal to me was because it went so much against the British culture which I had already related to; fully accepted as my own; and deemed as ‘normal '. For example eating certain food, not including chips, with your right hand instead of with a knife and fork. Leading up to the time I left for Nigeria, I had never really identified myself with the Nigerian culture even though both of my parents where originally from Nigeria. I was the first born of my mother followed by my two younger brothers, Steven and William. We were all also given Nigerian names along with are English ones; mine was Femi and my brother 's were Ayo and Bayo. My father was still studying along with working when I was born and my mother was working also, when I was about three years old I was sent to live with a white middle class nanny in a town called Warminster in Wiltshire.
