The Arab empire and the holy Roman Roman empire are two of the most important empires in history. Religion has a big influence on these two empires. The Arab empire main religion is Islam. People who follow Islam are called Muslims. Muslims believe in only one god called Allah. The word Islam means “peace”. Prophet Muhammad is considered a prophet and a man like all other men. Allah sent him as his final revelation. Islam has five pillars: Belief, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage. The faithful who follow the law are guaranteed a place in eternal paradise. They follow the practices and teachings of the Quran, the holy book.
The holy Roman empire main religion is Christianity. People who follow Christianity are called Christians.
They believe in one god. Christians also believe that Jesus Christ is the savior, the son of god, who was sent to earth and died on the cross to save humanity. They believe that faith in Jesus saves believers from God’s penalty for sin and bestows eternal life. The cross remains a symbol of the religion. Christianity begins as a religious movement within Judaism and then spread through Europe and the Roman empire. The Bible was their sacred text. They gather weekly to worship god and pray.
Roman Catholic Church plays an important role. In the Holy Roman Empire, civil authority and church authority clashed at times, but the church usually won. This was the time when the Catholic Popes wielded the most influence, and the papacy’s power reached its zenith. Furthermore, the church engaged in many military conflicts, including the Crusades.
Islam and Charastinity are similar in some ways. Both religions believe in one god. Islam has Quran and Christianity has bible. Both religions were born in the middle east. In Islam, Muslims considered Jesus as a prophet. They love and respect him like all other prophets. Both believe that there will be after life. After all, they are all humans!
