Compare And Contrast Peetta And Katniss

Through the book and the film, there is much similarity between characters whom oppose the government. Although their unwariness contributes to consequences unseen by the characters, they both put their trust onto someone else as they begin to form hope. This hope that they hold on to drives them to become stronger to destroy the system. Through the novel and film, it evidently illustrate the difference in characters traits through Katniss and Peeta, and Nanahara and Nakagawa. In the Hunger Games, Katniss is seen as a independent strong willed woman while on the other hand, Peeta is as well but is in constant saving from Katniss. Through Katniss, Peeta is saved from blood poisoning as she drugs him and helps seek medication he needs at
the cornucopia. “Even if a tribute doesn’t find him, something else might. He can’t defend for himself. I’d probably have to wall him up in the case just to go by myself. And who knows that the exertion will do to him?” (275, Collins)
