The Mayans were around from 200 AD to 900 AD. Also known as “The Golden Age” They lived in Central America. The specific cities they lived in were Chichen Itza, Tikal, and. The Mayans were polytheistic, which means that they believe in multiple gods. They believed that humans were made of corn. Their number system was very different to the one we have now.     The Mayans were the first of the three civilizations. Although they were first they had many achievements in architecture, math and astrology, and writing.
