Compare And Contrast The Maze Runner
Most books and movies are based off of ancient mythological stories. The book “The Maze Runner” was based off of the Theseus and Minotaur story. There are many similarities in both of these stories. Even with all of these similarities they are not exactly the same. In “The Maze Runner” a teenage boy named Thomas was sent to the Glade of the maze to help save the other members and get through the maze. He came to kill the Grievers who were the menacing creatures that could hurt the people that come into the maze. If someone got stung they would not be the same as they were before. The maze was very hard to get out and it would change everyday. One day a young girl showed up in the Glade named Teresa. She was sent to help Thomas fight the Grievers.

In many movies there is a book created before the movie so the movie can base it off the book. Such as unbroken, a story of a man that was never broken after being held prisoner in japan during WWII, this book was made before the movie and came out completely different. The movie only took the important parts of the book such as running in the olympics and being held prisoner. In the movie there are many key differences between the book and the movie, but they both are still very similar. There are so many books and movies like that.…

In The Maze Runner by James Dashner main character's name is Thomas. Thomas is very close to a girl named Teresa who he has known for as long as he can remember. When he is first put in the maze he knows no one and can not even remember his own name. But a girl, the first girl, enters into the maze she immediately recognizes Thomas. The two become very close friends and at one point the readers believe they could have been more than friends. Toward the end of the series Thomas learns that Teresa has been working with the company called Wicked, which is the company that put them in the maze.
