Compare And Contrast The Various Levels Of Prevention
Describe the various levels of prevention and give an example of an intervention at each level. Choose examples that are different from those already mentioned by your classmates.
The first level of prevention is primary. “Which is designed to help prevent a disorder, the disability, or any dysfunction from occurring in the first place (Burger, 2014, p.305). An example of this would be ASAP which is an Amy Substance Abuse program, which helps soldiers who have violated the substance abuse policy. Substance Abuse Program help soldiers who have a chance to be rehabilitative and stay in the military. The second level of prevention is early detection and treatment of dysfunction, “which involve early diagnosis and treatment of a disorder at a stage when problems may be nipped in the bud” (Burger, 2014 p.306). An example of this second level of prevention would be breast cancer. In which, you should see a physician regular to get a checkup for early prevention. The third level of prevention is tertiary “which is is defined regarding efforts to rehabilitate and return to the community those afflicted with severe mental disorders” (Burger, 2014, p. 307). An example of tertiary is (CMHS) Community Mental Health Services which provides counseling and psychiatric evaluations. The services provide help for soldiers and

The first level of prevention is imperative of all three tiers, which helps prevent a disorder before it becomes a serious problem. The second level of prevention would be the most affected because of early detection of the problem and how to alleviate the problem.
Respond to the question: why is an emphasis on primary prevention crucial in the human services

    It aims to reduce the risks or threats to one’s health. The role of prevention includes a primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. Primary prevention is the process in which a disease is prevent or stopped in its earliest stage before it progresses.
