Did know that Langston Hughes Let America Be America Again and Walt Whitman’s I Hear America SInging are the same? Both talk about america. And both Hughes and Whitman talk about a certain group of people. Like Hughes refers to his people (blacks). And Whitman talks a plethora of people(the boat men, the doc boy,etc…). Then Hughes and Whitman both use their literary devices in the right way. However Hughe’s And Whitman’s poems are different in a plethora of ways like. Langston uses traditional rhyme like fly and why or tie and lie. And then Hughes talks about not having equal rights. Like when he used sarcasm like “Land free who said land of the free not me.” However Whitman on the other hand talks about america like it was fine and dandy.Then
