Compare The Results Of The Green Mixture Of Different Liquids
The order that the liquids were in was blue, orange, green, yellow, and red. On our first trial, we only put in blue, green, red, and yellow mixtures inside the test tube. Before we even put in the orange solution, the yellow liquid started to mix in with the red solution. It meant that the yellow sugar water was more dense than the red sugar water. On our second trial, we tried to put the green mixture first to see what would happen. When we put the green mixture inside the test tube, we decided to experiment and put in the yellow solution. The second we put the yellow mixture in, it immediately mixed in with the green. This proved to us that the yellow mixture was more dense than the green mixture. Next, we tried to put the blue solution first, the green solution second, the red mixture third, the yellow mixture next, and the orange sugar water on the top. The test tube started turning a dark purple color. The orange was more dense than most liquids. Then, we tried blue, green, red, and orange. The red and the orange mixed and the mixture turned black. On our final trial, we did blue, orange, green, yellow, and red. The sugar waters did not mix in this order. The blue was the most dense. The orange was not as dense as the blue, but was more dense than the green. The green was more dense than the yellow, but was not as dense as the orange. The orange liquid's molecules were very close together but not as close as the blue liquid's molecules were. The green solution´s molecules were not as close together as the orange or blue ones were. The yellow solution´s molecules were more spread out than the green´s solution. The red liquid´s particles were much more spread out than any other solution.     The first step was to prepare the two filter paper for the experiment so you can measure the different columns at the end of the experiment. For that to happen you have to draw a horizontal line with a pencil. The line has to be 1cm above the bottom. After that you draw nine cross lines along the horizontal line with a space between each cross line of 1.5cm. Now you have to mark each area with a shortcut of the substance you are going to put on the horizontal line. The next step is to prepare each of your substances in the 24-well plate. Once you put all the substances in the well plate and dissolved the color from the M&Ms and Kool Aid with some drops of water, you dip a clean toothpick in the dye. You mark carefully a little point on the horizontal in the center of the section you marked with the substance and make sure the point is not too big because otherwise the experiment won’t work as good. The filter paper needs to dry for a few minutes before you form both to a cylinder and staple it so it stays a cylinder. Before you can keep going with the experiment you have to take a 50ml plastic beaker and fill that one with 50ml distilled water, solve a pinch salt in the water and stir until you can’t see crystals anymore.
