Comparing College Tuitions
In my Essay I will talk about two different colleges and they are George Fox University, and Oregon State. I will talk about each college’s tuitions, where it is found, number of students on the campus, some majors, and requirements for admittance, scholarships, and a few more things unique about the colleges George Fox, and Oregon State University.
First off I will talk about George fox University. The year round tuition is around forty three thousand. That is without any financial aid, and the average for financial aid is around twenty thousand. My personal opinion right off the bat is the tuition is really high and say you don’t get any financial aid or scholarships well that’s a lot more then say twenty four thousand per year total cost.

It also has some sports like football, volley ball, golf, and basketball and many other sports. There are other activities other than sports at George fox such as groups that are made by the students. That can do stuff like playing chess, life groups for going along in your spiritual walk. Now George Fox like a few other private schools is very very special, because it has a Christian environment. For me this would be nice, since I have pretty much grown up in Christian environment. Part of me at the same time wouldn’t care for this since I haven’t really experienced a non-Christian school environment. Also another reason that I may to prefer to go to George Fox is that Christ is in the class. But that again isn’t the most important thing to me. But say I was to mention Jesus in class at Oregon State I would probably be made fun of or somehow get in trouble. Another thing that George Fox has is chapel. Which to be completely honest chapel for me is really boring. I already have church once a week and have been going to a private school my whole life with chapel at least once a week. So I have personally gotten very tired of it even with chapel speakers coming to speak to us as a student body. Now on something a little different is parking for your car or motorized vehicle. Your vehicle must have a permit, and the tickets aren’t unlimited. And also the crime rate is pretty low on campus; the only thing that popped …show more content…
I like Oregon State even though it’s a Public College, its cost on average about twenty fours thousand to about twenty eight thousand per year to attend. That also depends on what classes you take, and if you are taking a four year degree or a two year, or even six or more. This is one of the many things I prefer better then George Fox that it cost a good chunk less. Oregon State is actually very close to Santiam. That I kind of like a little bit. It is in Corvallis and I have actually been on the campus, and the campus is beautiful for the must part, but not all of it. But overall I like the campus. I have not been in the dorms yet though so, I don’t know how I will feel about that. The student population is around thirty thousand students which are a lot more then George Fox. Oregon State has about twenty three thousand living on campus though. But still that’s a lot from going from Santiam of like three hundred just a

The admission of this patient has proven to be yet another impulsive action made by desperate parents. This patient, although exhibiting many symptoms of depression and grief caused by the death of a loved one, is not showing any signs of serious mental illness or instability. He is obviously an independent individual, rebellious as well. He is not hesitant to make known his opinions and thoughts. He seems to be a very cynical individual, most likely resulting from previous events that have occurred in his life. Though he doesn’t mention it much, he seems to be deeply affected by the death of his brother Allie Caulfield. He seems to miss him greatly, which could be the cause of the contemptuous attitude shown in his behavior. In addition, he witnessed the suicide of a fellow classmate a few years ago. Although they were not close, this is still a very traumatic event and can deeply influence one’s life, especially when witnessed at a young age. The patient does not seem to be at all motivated by anything except for his family. He especially seems unmotivated about school. This may be the result of seeing the death of a classmate caused by torment at school. Seeing an extreme negative result of school may have caused a similarly negative attitude toward it. Caulfield doesn’t speak much about any friends that he has, though he mentions some of his old roommates and classmates from previous school years occasionally. While Caulfield exhibits behavior that may be interpreted as depression by many concerned parents, it is nothing more than the typical effect of teenage hormones. The patient may seem like he has some sort of mental instability, but this impulsive and reactive behavior is simply a product of pubescent hormones mixed with his natural rebellious actions and attitude.…

They have a unique cost-cutting education system where you pay by the semester, not by each credit. So as you complete each course and then add more within that semester, you can actually reduce your overall cost for that degree. There are also savings found when you do not have to take additional certification classes and tests outside of your normal tuition, because it is all included. Another cost saving piece is that the school provides all the course materials for free, the books for each class is provided electronically. You save on commuting, as well as room and board which can also add to the bottom line of your education costs. The value of going to WGU for a top quality education is an undeniable benefit to you and your family, and should be a major factor in your…

This school has a very friendly environment, and that is rare seeing how sizable the school is and the variety of people that there are. Texas A&M is the fifth biggest school in the country, and from multiple sources it has been said to have a huge sense of togetherness. Another reason to go here is that it is very well known and I would take great pride in being an Aggie. It also is less expensive than a lot of colleges in Texas.…

In my eyes, affordable college tuition will be the best breakthrough between now and 2025. Although the idea of this sounds absurd because of how high tuition can be these days, I feel as though it is necessary for everyone in this country and other countries as well to have equal opportunities to receive a college diploma. Cost of attending a four year university is out of reach for a vast majority of young people today. Kids my age are forced to base their college choices purely on whether they either can afford to go, or can graduate with an acceptable amount of debt. By making college affordable for each individual, the opportunities for everyone will be much more extensive. This breakthrough in our society will be the best because it will,…

Coming to Ohio Wesleyan gave me a chance to explore the world around me but most importantly explore myself. When teens graduate from high school, they have a strong sense of purpose and feel confident about themselves and what they believe in. But when they enter college life, that is adult life, they find their ideas being challenged by the people around them. I wanted to face this challenge, not that I thought of myself being right at all times but because I wanted to grow more both emotionally and intellectually by interacting with different people who have different opinions than my own.…

Many of my friends were applying to five or six colleges, hoping they would get accepted to one. Because I knew exactly where I wanted to go, I did not have to do that. I did not waste my time and money taking unneeded tests. I chos because a few of my family members also attended here and I knew a lot about the school before attending. is also one of the only colleges that had my major, Commercial Recreation. Because most colleges do not give this as an option as a major, I did not have many choices to choose from for a college. The other colleges that did have a variation of my major were either too expensive or too far away in another state. is only forty minutes from my home and has a decent tuition price; which made it a good choice for me.…

From the moment I arrived at this school I was automatically intrigued with the well maintained and cleanliness of the campus. From the parking lots being well managed and well-designed being in areas that are fairly close to the campus, so to speak I do not have to make such a long walk from my car to the campus. The agricultural aspect of the land really caught my eye as well; from the parking lots to the entrance and all throughout the campus there is a lot of beautiful foliage that just catches the eye. The magnificent library draws the surrounding sky and engulfs you in its never ending awe as you see the reflections of everything.…
