The society in Fahrenheit 451, is so occupied on their phones that they don't have a notice of time. Today's society has became very similar and is going to lead to worse in the future. As it says in the book, “School is shortened, discipline relaxed, philosophies, histories, languages dropped, english and spelling gradually neglected, finally almost ignored, Life is immediate, the jobs count, pleasure lies all about after work why learn anything save pressing buttons pulling switches fitting nuts and bolts.” (Bradbury 53). The quote is saying that the society is becoming less relaxed and we are worrying about our social lives instead of work and our education.
