This is a piece of cloth or leather that the men wore around their waists. They also wore leggings in the winter. Additional clothing the Passamaquoddy could have been found wearing included feather headdresses and pointed caps. Additionally, the tribe lived, and still lives, near water, so the community is well known for their birchbark canoes. This was their main form of transportation and was a key aspect of hunting practices. Fishing was the number one way the Passamaquoddy hunted and they would try and stock up during the summer.
