I have seen both the modernized version of the play and the film version of Shakespeare's play, "A midsummer night dream." In this text I will compare these two versions and write a short summary of the play, write about how the play different from the movie and what the differences are. I will then conclude with my own opinion about the piece. There are two interesting versions with many different features, but they are incredibly good both of them.

The play begins with Egevs going with his daughter to the king Theseus and says that she does not want to marry Demetrius, but rather with Lysander. Hermia gets three choices. Whether she will marry Demetrius, die or to become a nun. She must decide within Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding. This is not something Hermia agrees, and she runs away to the woods with Lysander. Demetrius and Hermias bestfriend, Helena, comes after them. Lysander and Hermia are in love with each other, Demetrius is in love with Hermia and Helena is in love with Demetrius.
In the woods it's not just the teens who have conflicts. God Oberon and queen Titania has problems too. They have both been cheating on eachother, but none of them admits it. Oberon decides when to mess with Titania with a magic spray that makes you fall in love with the first thing you see. He asks Puck, his sidekick to bring the spray. When Puck comes with spray discovers Titania this and gets Puck to use the spray on Oberon instead. Once that is done is Oberon in love with a boar head.
While this is happening, Titania observes the four youths and help them by using magic spray. She asks Puck to do it, but he ends up getting both boys fall in love with Helena. It creates even more conflict. When Titania discovers this, she becomes angry and asks Puck to fix it right away. And so he does. Puck fixes it right away, this time without creating more problems.
