The setting of this film is where we’ll start. An empty parking lot seems like a typical place where you’d buy drugs, but as Wolf (Casey Shannon) pointed out to Short (Chuka Buckler Ekweogwu) that it’s creepy that they’re meeting there. They’re sitting on the ground while Wolf drinks a beer and Short is trying to figure out a rubix cube. If that’s not the most obvious sign that drugs are going to be involved then I’m not sure what is.

We’ve all discussed some strange things with our friends and hung out in places we shouldn’t have. And we also can relate to the quality of the film and thought process behind it. When watching this film, I thought the cast were probably friends and have known each other for a long time and wanted to make a film about a day in the life of them. And things such as one scene, a simple dialogue and Phoenix being a man dressed as a woman show us that they probably enjoyed making this film about their lives. I can imagine Simon thinking of a funny scenario he once found himself in, and making a film about it. And perhaps not finding a girl who can play Phoenix, asking one of his friends to play the role to add some comedy to it. Wolf & Short makes you feel like you’re the third friend in the parking lot, but one that doesn’t talk and that adds value to this unique
