Concert: the Garden and Best Friend Tamika
There is an event that I just can describe as one of the most memorable time of my life: The performance of all my favorite singers at the Jazz in the Garden concert. In the concert, I could experience many sensations that were more enjoyable that is why this experience is significant for me. Listening and seeing my favorite singers on that cold night was awesome because I had never seen them; furthermore, the taste and the smell of different food at the concert, makes me want to repeat that amazing event.
I remember on a Sunday evening I had just finish cleaning, my best friend Tamika and Tarnisha came over and Tamika told me “get ready because we going to the Jazz in the Gardens ,my dad has an extra tickets. I was so excited and But I did not really know what Jazz in the gardens was. When Tamika left I did not know what to wear so I call her and told her to come back to help me find an outfit Therefore, I pick out a beige top sleeveless, black guess tights legging, with silver Steve madden sandal to wear. So we arrive to the jazz in the garden, there a long line to get in, people was still trying to buy ticket at the gate ,some was selling ticket for low price. When we finally got inside, there was an art exhibit, t-shirt selling, and many vendors were selling different varieties of products, photographers were taking photo of the crowd. As we were walking to get closer to the access area to find the right seats I could hear the crowd talking about their likes and dislikes about whom going to perform today. Meanwhile the music starting playing and people started yelling and clapping every time they hear any sounds of the different instruments from the stage. As soon as the host came on the stage, everybody was cheering and clapping. Then, the concert started, Musiq Soulchild was on the stage, Gladys knight and the pip, En Vogue, Charlie Wilson and the Isleys Brother. The music was extremely loud. I could listen to people’s screams as they were

On the 9th of November I went to the salsa jazz band concert. This all took place at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus in the Alfred L. McCarthy Hall Auditorium. I arrived at the campus around 7 pm, half an hour before the concert started and parked in the garage. At the garage, I met up with my friend Elizabeth with whom I have for the jazz and pop class. From there we both walked to the auditorium with her brother and waited outside for a bit. As I walked in the first thing that they did was give us the program. The program lists all the songs that were played and included all of the players in the jazz band. The director of the band’s name is Rafael Valencia. I noticed that it was pretty full, which to me meant that it was going to be good performances. My friend and I sat…

It wouldn’t allow anyone to fall asleep if they wanted to, and you just felt the bang on your chest. Well, at least I did. Sergeant Sara Sheffield who is part of the Marine Band, presented each piece before the band performed it and also sang a few pieces. One of the songs that she sang was “Amazing Grace”. Her mezzo soprano voice is absolutely amazing and I envy the way she made it seem so easy to be on stage and sing in front of people so calmly and effortlessly.…

One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

Upon initial observation of my surroundings I could see that the audience is quiet and well mannered, patiently waiting for the performers to make their appearance. It was orderly and sophisticated and the majority of the audience was dressed formally to suit the occasion. The concert began promptly at 6pm, when the conductor Elaine AuBuchon entered the stage with the full theater clapping. She greeted all the audience and started the concert formally. As the performers entered they were greeted with applause and bow to the audience before they take their positions. Applause was also given when the musicians complete a…

When most people think about a significant experience as something like; studying abroad, taking vacations, or meeting new people. Now while I have met many types of people and traveled quite a bit, none of these experiences have been nearly as significant to me as my childhood. I lived in a small, falling apart, purple house in the heart of Bessemer that was perfect because it is all we could afford. This house and neighborhood forced me to be resourceful and it taught me that nothing in my life is going to come without hard work. Those lessons crafted me into the industrious, diligent, and determined person that I am today.…

The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…

Some of the most special moments that I can know remember would mean nothing if I had not the company and warm of my family. I remember it well… It was a fabulous February day. I took a glance at the clock on my bedside table and I saw it was only 6:30am, just as I realized the time I realized with a shock that it was also the day of the Co. Clare horse and pony show, my first show ever. I looked to my door to see my beige jodhpurs, cream shirt and my brand new tweed jacket hanging there. Just as I was admiring them the phone interrupted my thoughts with its urgent ring, and that’s where it all started.…
