“The UNC concussion research suggests that returning to the game before a concussion is especially dangerous. Sustaining a second blow before recovering from the first is far more damaging than either blow in isolation.” (BEYERSTEIN 2) With all these negative talks about the results of concussion in the NFL, it makes it difficult for many parents to put their children in Katy Youth Football or any type of football association. Although Football mainly teaches discipline and character, many parents encourage their children to stay away from the sport. Professional athletes are willing to do whatever it takes to be successful and leave a legacy in the NFL, regardless of the pain that football release on their body. In the past, players who received concussions during the games were portrayed as weak and scared to play the game. They were ignored until they decided to come back to the game. Many retired players realize it was the cause of the concussion that doesn’t make them function very well. With this major problem, they decide to hold the NFL
