Abortion, even if it is morally wrong, it should not be banned because woman that desperately desire an abortion, might get into illegal business that might put her and her life in danger. To prevent this criminal behavior, abortion should not be illegal and should not be criminalized. However, it should not be legal because then women might use this law as a safety measure for unprotected sex and that is just not right. The only case where an abortion should be allowed is if the life of the mother is at stake and/or if the fetus is too young or undeveloped as a human to exist outside the womb or by the time it will be born. Then, in this case, abortion is necessary to save the life of the mother, and because she is of more moral concern and worth compared to that of the fetus. Also, if the fetus will be born with any sort of untreatable disease, illness of any kind, then the pregnancy has to be terminated to relieve the mother of carrying the fetus for forty weeks. Why have a child if it will die within a few days, or even hours, of its birth? It is both a strain on the child and the mother, who had to carry the baby for nine months and had to give birth to it, but then watch it die in front of her
