This is where I am unsure about making the phenomenon a law to not allow Confederate flags or names. There are people out there who respect the flag with a passion. These are the Veterans. Veterans believe those names, objects, and the flag are all sacred. They believe they are memorabilia for the past and should be respected. Outlawing all these objects would not just anger most of them but disrespect them too. I remember when someone mention the flag on my grandfather’s hat, a War vet, and he was outraged. We do not need to go as far as banning these items in schools and in the community because we would be disgracing the Vets of our community. I believe we should just keep promoting the idea of taking down and getting rid of these objects to try to satisfy people but not disgrace others. Yes, not taking them down will send a mix message, like mentioned earlier, but we cannot seem to satisfy everyone so to do our best we just promote strongly to not promote these actions and not to have disgraceful objects at public schools were we are supposed to promote a non-segregated
