Introduction
Many people realize that sex trafficking is a problem throughout the world especially in third world countries, but many do not know that it is a concerning issue in the United States as well. There are individuals in American who live in their own world and do not realize that sex trafficking happens everyday and potentially close to where he or she lives. In the documentary “In Plain Sight” it informs the viewers that 80% of sex trafficking victims are from the United States. Many women and children are sold for sexual purposes and lose control over their lives because they are taken advantage of. The conflict theory is described by pervasive inequality based on social class, race, gender, and other considerations. This theory is very prevalent in sex trafficking because the “Johns” take complete control over the victims by threatening them with their lives.

One way is to create a program that helps individuals become more aware of sex trafficking, so that it can be caught and stopped. If people who work at hotels, casinos, and other places are educated and can recognize when sex trafficking is happening, then the pimps will not hold all the power because they will get caught easier. Also I think law enforcement should be trained on how to handle sex trafficking victims in a more effective way. Another solution could be creating safe homes for women, so when they are homeless and have nowhere to go they can go to a save home instead of having to go to pimps for shelter and food. Lastly, another solutions could be that businesses such as hotels and casinos have to be investigated every quarter to ensure that prostitution and sex trafficking is not taking place. I think that these three solutions will take complete power away from
