Conflict Vs Man Conflict

Many people respond to conflict in many different ways. Some welcome it and want it to happen like V from V for Vendetta he wants the people to have a voice he wants them to be upset. In things fall apart Okonkwo doesn’t want trouble but if it arises he wants to fight it. Some people hide from conflict like Castiel from Supernatural season seven he doesn’t like violence (even if afterwards he becomes a massive killing machine after taking in all the souls of Purgatory becoming like “God”.)

In man vs. man fighting Okonkwo is like when Okonkwo beats The Cat in wrestling. Both wanted to win the match but only one can win. If both men won who would gain honor? Another example of Man vs. man conflict is Eragon vs. Durza both are leaders of opposing armies and only one can walk away alive from their one on one battle. Not all man vs. man conflicts are physical though some are verbal and even mental in some cases. One case of verbal conflict in things fall apart is when Okonkwo and Nwoye get into a fight after the white men come to the village and Nwoye decides that he wants to follow them. Another case of verbal would be like in Rot and Ruin is when Benny and Tom get into fights about what Benny should do in the future with his life.

An example of Okonkwo arguing with himself is after he killed Ikemefuna he felt awful so awful that he would not eat for three days. He also realized that his screams would haunt him forever. One of the series that the characters have the most internal conflict with is Supernatural again. Dean is always worrying about Sam or Castiel. Sam feels bad about the people he couldn’t save and as well as drinking demon blood after he promised not to or when he started armageddon also about what happened while he was possessed by Lucifer, another time when he had no soul and finally when he was possessed by Gadreel his list goes on and
