values, and loyalty that people with more experience would better understand. We are taught growing up, that no matter what, you must always follow the morals and values of your family. Where your loyalty through family traditions as well as family feuds shall remain but in this alone, you are forbidden to see it any other way. This brings you back to your actions and your consequences. Either way there will be anger, pain, hurt, and betrayal. I believe to truly understand these feelings you need to be older to where you have experienced most of them. My reason third for believing that Romeo and Juliet should be taught during freshman year is because we are all young individuals. As a 14 year old myself, I am aware that I know a lot, but also aware that I still have much to learn. By analyzing what the right and wrongs are of this play, it’ll benefit us when making decisions in our everyday life. I also believe that the story plot should be reevaluated throughout high school because there are more to be taught about other than keeping yourself in place. More specifically, I think it should be revisited in our junior/senior year to prepare us for the real world. By being prepared before leaving high school, students will have the ability to be more wise and mature before taking action in a situation. In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet is a helpful tool of learning and also of enjoyment, it can teach many lessons of peril, chaos, death and love.
Also, this should be taught during the ninth grade to teach decision making and to inform those, the consequences of their actions. It should also be taught again in the later years to teach different lessons. Such as, lessons of love, and death. This is an important tool for the progression of skill building and learning. If you have lost your way in the world, then I would suggest those to read or revisit the book Romeo and Juliet as a reminder of the lessons they may have lost to time
itself.
