In the United Kingdom’s (UK) uncodified constitution, parliament and acts of parliament are the supreme form of law. This concept or idea of Parliament been the highest form of law in the UK is known as Parliamentary Sovereignty. In the UK, Parliamentary Sovereignty is a concept that developed or has its origins in common law (ref). Parliament has not always been the dominant law making body in the UK.
