The operations and system of the National Water Commission.

Introduction
The National Water Commission. The data collection took place on Thursday the 27th of September at the NWC office in New Kingston. Me and my colleagues had interview with David McDonald of the NWC.

Jobs
The NWC provides work for over 2000 Jamaicans. The company provides jobs in areas like:
Engineers
Accountants
Finance
Human resource
Personal management
Customer service
Public relations
Lawyers
Secretary (Admin Assistant)
Plumbers
Security
Occupational health and safety
Nurses and Doctors
Operators
The company will employ you as long as your qualified and can do the job to the best of your abilities.
N.B Blind persons won’t find this job in their favor.

Regulation and codes
The NWC has to follow the rules of the land. The laws can be found in books like Labour laws of Jamaica, NWC Manual, Regulations and codes, the National Water Commission act and the Factories Act.

How ethical and moral considerations are addressed.
The moral of workers at the NWC is taken serious. The workers are protected by a special department at the company called the Human Resources (HR) department. Persons with decease are protected by this and there information is kept confidential.

Health
The NWC protects their employee’s health by having two professional doctors coming in the company at least twice a week for checkups and to help the sick employees of the company.

Safety
When the workers are on the plants, it is required that they wear helmets. The workers are also told to wear gloves while carrying out their jobs and mask when necessary. When employees are sent to areas known to have a lot of violence taking place in them, they are escorted and protected by the police and sometimes the military.
