This was warring periods. In 221 BC, Qin defeated the Chou Dynasty and led to the rise of the Qin Dynasty. The fourth Dynasty, known as the Qin Dynasty was the most successful dynasty. The Qin Dynasty exists in the warring states. Ruled by emperor, Shi, this dynasty ruled for only 15 years, but in such a short time many important things were done under his orders. It was emperor Shi who standardized weights and measures; he said that the round coins to have square holes. The Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World was built under his commands. When emperor Shi died, Solders, horses, servants, and human servants and horses sacrificed their life to serve him in the after-life. The Six dynasty got the name because of its six successful dynasties that appeared in Southern China. This period was right after the fall of the Han dynasty when China did not have a emperor. The 6 dynasties that held power during the 350 years were: Wu, Dong, Liu-Song, Southern Nan, Nan Liang, and Nan Cheng. This period ended then emperor wen reunified Northern and Southern China, and the Sui dynasty began.
The Seventh dynasty of China was the Sui dynasty. The dynasty ruled for 38 years and had three emperors. The Sui dynasty extended the Great Wall of China. The fall of the Sui dynasty started when emperor Yang was emperor. He showed no respected to the elders and was terrible to his parents. He was mean to his people therefore he was killed by Yuwen Huaji.
After Emperor Yang was killed, the eight dynasty started, the Tang dynasty. Arts, literature, and technology all attracted attention. When the last emperor, emperor Ai was forced to surrender by Chancellor Zhu Quanzhong. Then Chancellor Zhu Quangzhong put an end to the Tang
dynasty.
The ninth dynasty called the Five dynasty survived for about 53 years. The Five dynasty are the Later Liang dynasty, Jin dynasty, Tang dynasty, Zhou dynasty, and Han dynasty. When Zhou emperor died the Song dynasty came to power.
General Zhao formed the tenth dynasty, Song. The warriors of the Song dynasty put the throne on its first emperor. The emperor defeated the empire Chu, then Shu in Szechuan. Song invented many of the worldwide known technology, but was defeated by the Mongolians.
The Yuan dynasty had two emperors. The Mongolian tribes formed it. They invade the silk road and steal the goods, but they soon protected the road during the rise of the Ming dynasty.
The Ming dynasty destroyed the Mongolians. The Ming built the Forbidden City and finished The Great Wall of China.
When the last emperors of the Ming commit suicide the Qing dynasty ruled China for the next 300 years then changed to the People Republic of China
