In Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” Romeo and Benvolio have a conversation which in turn, reveals each of their facets. Shakespeare uses diction and tone to show Benvolio’s facets as caring and understanding. Throughout the conversation, Benvolio seems to try to reason with and understand Romeo’s feelings. “Tell me in sadness, who is that you love?” (1.1.200). This quote shows that Benvolio wants to better understand Romeo’s love. Which also leads the reader to know that Benvolio is caring and wants to help Romeo with his heartbreak. Shakespeare also uses the tone of Benvolio to show his many sides. It is shown that Benvolio feels that

Shakespeare has created a variety of voices in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by giving the characters a dialogue that tells the audience about themselves and the world they live in. Two characters, Juliet and the Nurse have mostly the voices conveying changing moods and different attitudes. I will then relate how ideas presented in Romeo and Juliet can be compared with the moods and attitudes conveyed by the speakers in ‘To His Coy Mistress’ and ‘Les Grands Seigneurs’.…

This scene serves as a contrast to the preceding scene in Friar Laurence's cell. Mercutio and Benvolio are in a merry mood as they walk along talking and laughing about Romeo whom they think is still pining away over Rosaline. Benvolio mentions that Tybalt has sent a challenge to Romeo. Mercutio then gives a long description of Tybalt's eagerness to fight. Romeo comes along in a good mood after his talk with Friar Laurence. They engage in a series of puns matching their wits against each other. Along comes Juliet's nurse and Peter (her servant).…

Federalists, as founded by John Adams and Alexander Hamilton who persist in faith like there should be a strong central government and loose view of constitution. It means they regard anything not forbidden in the constitution is allowed for federalist government. Dealing with foreign countries, they prefer trading and communicating with Britain since they have one of the world’ most powerful navy which is convenient for import and export. They also raised up the idea of forming a national bank which is favored by the businessman. Their military policy of large peacetime army is opposed to Democratic republicans that peacetime army should be small. For other policies, democratic republicans favored weak central government and strict view of…

Firstly, Benvolio serves as a foil to Tybalt. To begin with, Tybalt wanted to start a fight, but Benvolio tried to stop it. The following quote shows how Tybalt wanted to fight but Benvolio didn’t “I do but keep the peace.”/ “ I hate the word as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee. Have at thee,…

When Benvolio, Montague and Lady Montague have a conversation about Romeo they portray him as being very shy. ‘So early did I see your son, towards him I made but he was aware of me, and stole into the covert of the wood’. This implies that Romeo has been seen early in the morning upset and on his own. When he is aware of Benvolio he runs off into the wood which is stating that he is distracted by something or someone. To running away is an odd thing to do to anyone, but this was someone who has been presented as a close Cousin/friend. Due to the fact that Benvolio is worried about how Romeo is, we can tell that Romeo is not usually an anti-social person. This is an obvious clue to the fact that he is distracted and upset by something on his mind.…

    D) Benvolio and Romeo - Benvolio says that Romeo should go to the party so he can “Compare her face with some that I shall show, / And I will make thee think thy swan a crow” (I.iii.93-94). This shows that Benvolio is a friend because he wants the best for Romeo.…

By using metaphors, Romeo’s feelings and moodiness can be described thoroughly. His love for Juliet, and grief for Rosaline are shown in many imagery and personification terms. During the first scene of the play, he and Benvolio are discussing Rosaline, and her rejection of Romeo. Certain that his life is now meaningless, he rants to his friend:…

The tragedy Romeo and Juliet boasts a wide assortment of characters. Many of whom are often at odds with one another. Three characters in particular, Tybalt, Mercutio, and Benvolio, are three very different men, and are driven by impulses and their different characteristics. Tybalt is driven by his rage and craving for violence, Mercutio is driven by his friendship with Romeo, and Benvolio is often driven by his love for peace. But these men do share one common trait, loyalty. Tybalt, Mercutio, and Benvolio are loyal to their families and their friends without question and with great passion.…

After the fight, Romeo is seen grieving about his purged heart and tells Benvolio goodbye, but Benvolio tells Romeo that he will “go along”(1,1,196) and if Romeo leaves him, then he will “do [him] wrong”(1,1,197). True friendship and loyalty was exhibited in this scene which is represented by the color blue on the mask. I put blue as the background of the mask because it’s meaning is loyalty and Benvolio shows this by tagging along with his friends and trying to soothe them and communicate with them.…

“I’ll go along, no such sight to be shown/But to rejoice in splendor of mine own” (I.II.100-101). In the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo, a heartbroken man, desperately tries to find a way out of his depression. Benvolio encourages Romeo to attend a party in which he meets his star-crossed lover, Juliet. Due to Benvolio’s encouragement, Romeo was doomed to both his and Juliet’s tragic end. If it were not for Benvolio’s words and actions of encouraging Romeo to go to the Capulet’s and meet another woman, these devastating events would have never occurred.…

Mercutio has a partially negative way of thinking, but he is more rational than Romeo's impatient, love-seeking mind. The comparison of the two characters shows Mercutio’s common sense as opposed to impractical Romeo. They are similar and different at the same time, but seeing them interact with eachother helps us better understand Romeo as a character when we see him compared to Mercutio. Romeo's role in the play is a young blind lover who in the beginning, doesn't believe that there could be another lady prettier than his Rosaline. Hs rejection of Benvolio's advice to find another love to replace Rosaline, shows Romeo's immaturity as a lover. Similarly, Romeo claims to have fallen in love with Juliet (another girl) at the Capulet party.…

Three things that I have been interested in for a while are aging, embryonic stem cells, and intelligence as an entirety. These three particular subjects interest because the nature of each I do not fully understand. Ever since I saw my first superhero movie I've wondered how I could acquire such abilities but one that seemed the most interesting to me not because it shows up in the movies but in literature from all eras of humanity when we as humans first began recording the world around us. For a subject that a majority of humanity has been worried about for centuries it seems, other than maintaining healthy habits, we have made little to no advancement on how to control the aging proccess. Even though I believe that no advancement has been made on learning to manipulate and understand the aging proccess i also believe that embryonic stem cells though seem they might be a major key in developing the answers. The way I think of embryonic stems cells is that they are the most basic cells and instead of being the building block, like other base materials, they already have the building blocks set in place to build what ever is neccessary. If there is cell that is pluripotent-being able to become any other type of cell- then why can’t those cell be cultured in way thaat we can invoke the need for them after introducing it to living human body.…

A perfect competition industry infrastructure is one that comprises numerous small sellers and buyers. Firms that comprise the industry produce similar products and consumers have complete and accurate information about their prices. All firms have equal access to raw materials, capital, labor and technology. A perfectly competitive industry, therefore, has no single market leader or monopolistic firm. All participating companies are identically leveraged and each must offer high quality products to retain customers. Examples of perfectly competitive industries include those that offer agricultural products, such as livestock, corn and wheat.…
