Core Competencies of a Nurse Practitioner First of all, let me differentiate a clinical from a non-clinical role. When we say clinical, it has something to do whether or not we treat patients or provide direct patient care of any type. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role falls under the clinical role since their primary core competency is direct care. Nurse educators and nurse administrators fit in the category of non-clinical role since they don’t render direct patient care. They may interact with patients but do not actually provide medical care.…

The core competencies needed for health care professionals, especially patient centered care, is an important part of health care. Even though there are any obstacles to patient centered care, there are ways to overcome these obstacles. My goal is to continue to build positive relationships with all families. To always communicate with the parents. I make sure that I take the time each day to communicate with the parents, both when they arrive and when their child/children in the morning and when they arrive at the end of the day. This commutation is vital in earning the parents trust, participation and support. Core Competency involves incorporating diversity into practice. This skill is associated with several practice behaviors that I will be linking to specific artifacts. The first practice behavior is transforming one’s behavior in response to recognition of one’s biases based in difference and culture. This practice behavior relates to an Alcohol Anonymous meeting that I attended, and I had to write a reflection for my substance abuse class. The second practice behavior is modifying and adapting mainstream knowledge and interventions to meet \ needs of diverse populations and that challenge oppression. This consisted of a population at risk paper I wrote for class regarding human trafficking. The third practice behavior is applying strengths…
Core competencies: in technical innovation, legendary user friendliness, new product development & previous market penetration success (1.4 million iPhones sold in the first 4 months of launch in developed markets). Core competency should give access to a variety of markets through many end products. Apple’s core competency of innovation driven user-friendly high-technology product development opens a variety of markets (computers, personal music/ store, communication device/ mobile computing).…
What is Apples core competence? If this changes over time, discuss Apples core competence in general, and then choose a specific time period and discuss its core competence in that time period. As we can see from Apple’s history we can say that is a company that knows how to adapt to market conditions and thus how to modify its core competence accordingly to the current environment. In fact, in the very beginning Apple started with ”easy-to-use” computers, therefore it’s core competence was that they were providing both hardware and software that normal people could use. After the entry of other companies in to this market, Apple decided to invest more on publishing and education services, providing both optimized software and specialized hardware that leads to a superior experience to their users. From 1997 on, Apple focused also a lot on the design of its product line. In fact its products are not only good from an hardware point of view, but they are also innovative in terms of aesthetics. In the last years, what we can notice is that those products are considered ”status-symbols” and this, in my opinion, is an effect of both company price policy (Apple products are relatively costly compared to its competitors) and marketing decisions (App Store,Keynotes, Products Releases, Advertising).…
Firstly, core competency considers the needs and value that customers need. For example, the core competence of FedEx is the high-level logistic management, even it has the relatively more expensive than the peers, it still popular with high reputation among customers with efficient highly-speed delivery. Apple has the product of iPod Nano has the core competence of small size, which can be brought with conveniently.…
