I chose to attend Brooklyn College not only because of the diversity on campus, but also because of the cost. The cost
to attend college in this country has skyrocketed greatly in the past several years which makes it harder for families, mine included, to send their children to receive a higher education. I also believe that this school will guide me to becoming a versatile individual with the skills and education required for a career. In this class specifically, I am to break out of my shell and slowly learn to to engage in discussion with you and my peers. Additionally, I’d simply like to learn history all over again. Everything I seemed to have learned in high school has went through one ear and out the other, and I honestly know little to nothing about American Pluralism. It’s a shame too since I had a really good history teacher my junior year.
