I believe my experience and skills are well suited to management consulting. I bring a demonstrated track record in analytics and problem solving by working on various projects during my four years of work in HCL group in India. I have worked on requirement gathering, effort estimation and system architecture design which involved analyzing client specifications, researching on the use of new technologies and providing solutions which were well received by the clients. My activities like working for a NGO in India, at the MBA School and under graduation during my engineering days reflect ability to solve problems with successful strategies. For example, my initiative to increase sponsorship and framing the event promotion strategy for the social camps led to increase in funds for the NGO and turn out at the camps. As the corporate liaison for the MBA consultancy I have launched initiatives to increase corporate relations with the consulting companies by planning to organize an event bringing in speakers from different kinds of consulting companies.
Speaking to your representative at the top consulting fair and Imperial college graduate recruiter’s day on 30th October, I learned about the daily activities of a consultant and the career progression path at Oliver Wyman. I am particularly attracted by the prospect of working in various industry sectors and across capability areas. During my MBA I have improved my analysis, modeling, presentation and communication skills, while working on different assignments under strict deadlines and making group presentations. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly yet professional culture of Oliver Wyman employees, and this has enabled me to make it firmly
