Childcare coordinator
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring the welfare of all children attending the service is of paramount importance and that their development and well-being on every level is catered for.
To manage a Childcare Staff team in providing a high quality early childhood service that provides a safe and nurturing environment and promotes the holistic needs of each child attending the service.
He/she will have the overall responsibility in the daily management of the service, its staff team and the children attending the service and will report directly to the Board of Directors.
To have overall responsibility for the daily operation of the service, the staff team and the children attending the service.
To ensure that the service operates in accordance with the Child Care (Pre-school) Regulations, 2006.
To report all service matters to the Board of Directors on a regular basis.

To have overall responsibilities for drafting and implementing all childcare policies and procedures for the service, and to ensure that they are adhered to on a daily basis.
To be actively involved in the recruitment process for all service staff.
Daily management of the service staff team, including staff direction and organisation, staff motivation and staff facilitation.
To supervise and support the team of Room Leaders and Room Assistants in the running of the service.
To identify, provide and implement all staff training programmes/schedules, including staff personal development.
To provide, encourage and enhance team building / team dynamics.
To conduct regular staff meetings to discuss service issues.
To liaise with all Parents / Carers who are the primary carers of the children and ensure they are always welcome in the service.
To liaise with any outside agencies who may be involved with the service in any form.
