What Kind of Thinker Are You?
Creativeness comes with thinking. Being a creative thinker can be fun when you’re put to the test. You can do anything if you set your mind to doing the things you say you can’t. Taking a class on Creative Thinking will help you to realize that you have a brain so use it to your best advantage. Just imagine all the things you can accomplish if you use the part of your brain which is the Thinkers part. So many ideas can come about then the brain forces you to brainstorm on the ideas and come up with reasonable question to make your idea a great one. I never thought that I could become a creative thinker until a teacher by …show more content…
the name Mr. Leon Hallingquest made me think and use that portion of my brain because he wasn’t going to give me the answer. “If you put your mind to it you can do it.”
A Critical Thinker is defined as reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do.
It’s so many ways that you can define being a critical thinker you have to prove it. Take the show Shark Tank for example, those people came up with some great ideals for the world to see, but they put some effort in thinking everything through before actually going through with their ideal. Critical thinking comes with questions because you have to ask yourself who, what, when, where, how, and why. To get the answers you either research or think about it. Even though I thought a long time ago that thinking too much hurt my brain, that was just me not caring at all to put my brain to the test. Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and …show more content…
rationally.
I can say that since I started this course I already had in the back of my brain somewhere that I was not going to like this course.
I said because at that time I didn’t believe me to be a critical thinker. I have it bad when it comes to using that part of my brain when it comes to certain things. Maybe this plays a part with me being all over the place in my head. I have a lot on my mind at times and I ball everything up until I can take it anymore. But I have use my critical thinking skill in my work place, because I have those days where a customer can ask the dumbest questions that they already know the answer to but instead they want you to answer for them. Even when I’m taking a test at work and I have to remember important chemicals or what and abbreviation mean on the spot, I know it’s in my brain somewhere. In the beginning of this course I was ask what kind of thinker am I and I stated that I was a Beginner Thinker. Now that five weeks have past I believe myself to be a Practicing Thinker. I say that because I’m still a working progress. To me this will take some time to endure. Thinking is something that I don’t do well. Sometimes not thinking has gotten me in a lot of trouble because I didn’t think before I spoke or I didn’t think a situation through good enough. But I can say that this course has given me some practice in my beginning mode. This part in my critical thinking skill will not stop, I do believe in making a plan when I’m using my critical think
skills.
With all that I have learned I have come to the conclusion that you have to go outside the line with you thinking. Stepping outside the box is one thing I learn from this course; don’t just think inside its ok to come out that box with ideas and questions. Another thing I learned was if you’re given a certain amount of time to build the largest house of cards with thin paper then just build and ask question later. Everything should make sense when given statements or question. I learn that you don’t have to start off by being a critical thinker but by the end of the day you at least think about it and become one.
