Critical Thinking Approach

Critical thinking is thinking distinctly, thinking impartially, thinking realistically, thinking objectively, and thinking independently. It is a process that hopefully leads to an objective investigation of the data and facts that remains unaffected by unrelated emotions. The goal is to arrive at well-reasoned, considered, and reasonable conclusions. Thinking critically is an ability to engage with the evidence, to consider and to evaluate the evidence (the type of evidence, the quality of evidence, etc.) from multiple and relevant competing sources.

In contrast to this, human nature doesn’t always follow this model of thinking. We humans naturally and regularly use our beliefs as assumptions and make interpretations based on those assumptions.
