Will receiving a college degree improve your career opportunities? Receiving a college degree will improve your career opportunities. In the world today, jobs and careers want some college experience. This shows that you are not afraid of doing a little hard work. This will also improve your career opportunity because places of employment like to see that you took the time to learn about the job you want, so they do not have to start from scratch to train you in what needs to be done. Having a college degree also gives you options in choosing the career path you would like to take and get a job that you love and not just have to do. People who do not have a college degree many times are dealing with a job because it pays the bills, but they do not love their job, which can make it harder to get out of bed and go to that job. With a career, it is what you chose to do and go to college for, and a career is something you love doing and will get out of bed to go to work. Employers now a day will only look at applications that have some form of college in the resume, so I would encourage everyone to get a college degree and choose your career.

The process I used with critical thinking was to ask myself if I likes the job I had before I was going to school for the career I want, and the answer was no, it just paid the bills. The process of critical thinking I used to get my answer was to use past experience, ask what employers are looking for, and research the topic. This is similar to the process I used to find the content for my answer because in order to give accurate information, I would have to research to make sure what I am saying is true. Using my experience and hearing the experience of others helped me to write the content. I had to think about what employers would look for and if I was employer, what would I look for. I can use critical

This article, “The RU-486 Abortion Pill Should Be Available to Women”, was written by Laura Fraser in 2001 for the Greenhaven Press. The issue involved with this article is whether or not the RU-486 abortion pill should be available to women in the U.S.. The conclusion Fraser came up with was yes, the RU-486 abortion pill should be available to women in the U.S., and for plenty of reasons. For example, if mifepristone becomes available, it will remove political and practical barriers so women can get abortions and physicians will not have to perform complete abortions. Also, 54% of all…

I do not think that colleges have moral obligations to help students become ethical individuals because for one, there are a lot of people who attend college from different backgrounds, and with that comes different upbringings. I believe that colleges don't teach ethical morals because it would contradict what was taught to the student by their family, friends, and other social and religious influences. I also believe that colleges don't teach ethical morals because there are a lot of careers that require for you to have no type of emotional attachment in your field of work. For example, you're a licensed doctor, and for the first time, a small child dies…

Critical thinking is a mechanism of observing something beyond your first impression and opinion. “Instead of simply responding with what you believe or feel about a subject, critical thinking guides you to think- to examine issues fully and objectively, test your own assumptions for bias, seek additional information, consider alternative interpretations, ask questions, and delay judgment”. Critical thinking is the reason why every professional writer, writes as good as they do. They don’t record their immediate observations; instead they explore the idea and analyze it fully. This process often allows the writer to have another point of view/perspective on the topic in which they are exploring.…

While growing up, I have always pondered ways of helping others that were less fortunate than myself. This had led me to believe whole-heartedly that the poverty rate can be reduced through several avenues.…
