They are able to secrete mucus from their skin that can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, mouth and even the genitals and any other mucus membranes. The mucus can also cause allergy-like symptoms and cause someone’s asthma to be triggered. Also, if a child gets ahold of one and puts it in their mouth, the secretion of the tree frog can possibly kill the child from the sicknesses they could contract. They may enter a house through open doors, open windows and even through the pipes of the houses plumbing. This can be a big issue because not only does it scare people by seeing a frog in their toilet but, these tree frogs may cause a blockage in the plumbing. This causes some home and business owners a lot of money because the blockage caused by these tree frogs will cause the plumbing to overflow and flood the area, possibly causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
