Abstract America has long been known as the melting pot for many different cultures to blend and become unified. To cohabitate and to become an American has long been the dream for the many who have immigrated here. Cultural competency among the population is imperative for good relationships in both the professional and private sectors. A comparison and contrast will be made to compare different ethnic groups and their belief system pertaining to religion, customs and cultural views relating to medical care. The activity of lefties in a righty world reinforces the awkwardness of having to function against what is known. Different surroundings and environments force new challenges. Through learning and education of new components of culture we can better achieve a professional understanding with respect to all types of people.
