The most important concept of culture is culture is learned and not inherited. For tangible aspects of culture comprises objects, symbols or technology which represent the content.But, for intangible aspects of culture, it comprises the beliefs, ideas and values which form the content of culture.
As for society, it is a system of interrelationship which connects individual together.For example, United States, Britain, France and many others. They are known as society. A society can be recognized if their members are organized in structured social relationships according to a unique culture.
Socialization is the process by which children, or other new members of the society, learn the way of life of their society. Socialization is a process whereby the helpless infant gradually becomes a self-aware, knowledgeable person, skilled in the ways of culture into which he or she is born.
Socialization divides into two which is primary socialization and secondary socialization. Primary socialization occurs in infancy and childhood. It is also the most intense period of cultural learning. The main agent of socialization during this phase is the family. Secondary socialization takes place later which is during childhood into maturity. In this phase, schools, peer groups, organizations, the media and eventually the workplace will take over some responsibilities from the family.
Norms are the rules of behaviour which reflect a culture’s value while values are what are considered important, worthwhile and desirable. Values also provide guidance to humans as they interact with the social world. Both norms and values work together to shape the behavior of a culture within their surroundings.
