Christopher showed logic behavior between him and the other characters in the play, which led him to generate assuming and silly decisions. The white boxes are used as chairs in both of the scenes when Christopher had a talk with his parents separated. When Christopher found out from Mrs. Alexander about what actually happened to his mother, Judy, who had an affair with Mr. Shears and they ran away together. In the play Christopher asked if his mother went to a psychiatric hospital; Ed (Christopher’s dad) explained, “No it’s an ordinary hospital. She has a problem… a problem with her heart” (Stephens 11). Ed later told Christopher that she died, which is a lie that lasted for two whole years. After a two years, he learned about the affair and his father told him that he killed Wellington, the suspense came in when the traumatized Christopher decided to leave his home in Swindon and run away to London to live with his mother and her lover. The audience could understand furthermore, why his logical behavior caused him to leave because in general, if you hang out with a person that killed someone, you would have stayed away from them or call the police. He was able to take his A-Level math exam and pass it. This gave him self- confidence that he could be anything which included being an astronaut. Not only Christopher passed his exam his relationship with his father has gotten a lot better. Even though in the play, there were scenes that made the audience understand that Christopher would run away from him, Ed was able to make a deal with him which was that every day when he talks to him he wants to add an extra minute and he will set the timer on. Even though Christopher life is changing by the minute he still needs to work on his irrational behavior. Christopher wrote a book about the journey he encountered and Shiobon (counselor) asked if his book can be used as a play and Christopher refuses because in his own world, he consider that play performance people are liars.
