Who is the article about? This article is about the first Android wear smartwatch from
Asus called the Asus ZenWatch.
What is it about? This article pertains to a technology journalism company called The
Verge and their review on the Asus ZenWatch.
Where did the event happen? The article was written in the Verge office at 126 5th Ave
(W 18th St), New York, NY.
When did this event take place? The Verge published this article on December 10, 2014 at 02:12 pm
Why did this event happen? This event occurred because Asus is a technology company and smartwatches were a new opportunity to make money, so they decided to make a smartwatch on the Android wear platform. That is how the Asus ZenWatch was born.
How could this event potentially affect you and other people in your life?
This event affects me and other people in my life in many ways. One way is that as a technologist that has a very positive opinion about technology, its great to see many manufacturers building smartwatches for Android wear. It could effect other people in my life in one major way. Many of my technology friends have been looking for an
Android wear smartwatch and this might be a good opportunity for them to buy one.
What is your opinion on the subject and why did you choose this new story?
My opinion on the Asus Zenwatch is that it is the best smartwatch for $200. The smartwatch performs well and looks good. My only concerns with the Asus smartwatch is that the battery life only lasts a day, it’s a square smartwatch and the bezels on the side of the screen are quite large. I would much prefer two day battery life and a round smartwatch with no bezels. I choose this news story because it interests me as a technology geek and because the review on the smartwatch was on the homepage of the Verge’s website.
