Current Trends in Business Communication
The advancement of technology in recent years has risen, so is the world of business communication. Nowadays in world of business communication people using many different kind of latest communication technology. However, during old days, people used to write letters, held face-to-face meetings and many others in business. These changes are caused by the innovation of many new electronic tools such as wikis, teleconferences, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and many others which are to help the business to communicate more easily between the employers and employees and firms’ owners and clients. Besides, technology is used in business communication to achieve the objectives and goals of the firms. Therefore, today’s firms using computers, laptops, netbooks, notebooks and many others for their paper and project works so that the works can be done more quickly and efficiently rather than using official letters and telephones. As a result, it is compulsory for the employees to know how to use and control the computer programmes such as Microsoft Words, Google Docs, e-mails and many others for the business purposes. Currently, teleconference has replaced the face-to-face meetings trend owing to its latest communication systems which linked to the audio conferencing, telephone conferencing, internet conferencing and many others. This system is very useful for businesses as it offers opportunities for people in other regions or countries to participate either from home or any teleconferencing centres. Additionally, businesses now own great breaks owing to the presence of social media networks technology such as Facebook, Twitter, Diggs and so on to promote their business and answer their consumers’
