1. Select one teaching of Jesus from one of the following Bible verses: Matthew 5:21-24, Matthew 5:43-48, Matthew 6:19-24, Matthew 7:15-23, Luke 15:1-32, John 13:1-17 & 34-35, John 15:1-11. Answer the following questions:
a. What was Jesus’ point in the teaching?
In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus is teaching that In Matthew 5:21-24, Jesus addresses his followers and states that killing someone is subjected to the judgment. This is a thought, which we all understand in the society because taking someone’s life is directly related with the judgement of the council and the God Himself. However, Jesus proceeds further and associates this concept with the ill emotions of people. He states that it is not likely that people are assumed vicious if they kill someone; the rise of negative emotions in mind and heart can also led to such things. For example, he mentions that anger and hatred are the worst enemies of humankind. If one is angry, as he states, the one is subjected to judgment. His point in teaching this concept is to warn people about the negative emotions and feelings as they lead to crime. His inherent message in this teaching is associated with the initial identification of the crime because anger results in crime at several occasions in people’s lives.

b. What sort of relevance does this teaching have for other worldviews?
This teaching can be used in all worldviews. Although these teachings are from Jesus, it can be used in all worldviews. His love, kindness is universal and can be used to influence different worldviews.

c. What does this teaching reveal about Jesus?
This teaching shows us that Jesus only loved. No matter what he faced and the persecution he dealt with he only showed love and compassion. He loved and forgave the people
