In home care is known as family child care it typically is provided by nannies, au pairs, or friends and family. The child is watched inside their own home or the caregiver's home, reducing exposure to outside children and illnesses. Depending on the number of children in the home, the children utilizing in-home care enjoy the greatest amount of interaction with their caregiver, forming a close bond. There are no required licensing or background checks for in-home care, making parental vigilance essential in choosing an appropriate caregiver. Nanny and au pair services provide certified caregivers and the cost of in-home care is the highest of childcare options per child, though a household with many children may find this the most convenient and affordable option. Many nannies study towards childcare qualifications. This means they are trained to create a safe and stimulating environment for your child to enjoy and thrive in. Typically, au pairs or nannies provide more than routine child care, often assisting with daily household activities, including running errands, shopping, doing laundry, fixing meals, and cleaning house.…
There are three different options available for childcare; in-home childcare, day care centers and babysitters. With in-home child care, you hire a nanny to look after your children at home. For most families this is the easiest option for them however it is the most expensive. A day care center is an actual place parents bring their children to and it allows them to interact with other children and learn social skills. A downside to daycare centers is the risk of your child facing fights with other children. The final option listed involves hiring a babysitter. Babysitters are usually rotated and paid only when they watch the children opposed to a regular flow of income. You must be very careful when choosing a baby sitter, and be sure to run background checks. I personally believe that day care centers will be the most beneficial for me when I decide to start a family.…

There are several objectives to think about with this topic. There are the social skills that you want your child to develop, because obviously if your child is at an in home daycare with only a few other children they are less likely to develop the same social skills. You also need to consider the schedule that you want your child and or children to follow, especially if one of your children has special needs. At a daycare center they will create a schedule for your child that is conducive to the other children in the class as well as the age group of the class. They might make a few changes based on the children that they have in the class at any given time, of for instance that schedule did not work for the majority of the class. In the case that you have an infant most daycare centers will allow the parents to make the schedules for the babies, until they are around 12 – 14 months of age. However in the end the schedule is generally designed to work for the class as a whole versus each individual child. On the other hand in an in home daycare there are fewer children and therefore fewer teachers. There are also several age groups mixed into one or maybe two groups. With that being said individual schedules are easier to follow. This will usually help more when you have a child with a special needs, that needs a little more care than the typical child.…

We have many rules and have many pieces of training to attend to make us more aware of things that we need to be polished on. I go to trainings every other weekend, because we are supposed to have twenty-six hours, and we have to be certified in CPR and First Aid. There are many steps that we have to follow to keep the daycare clean and manageable for anyone around. Some rules are more important than the others, because if we do not follow them the state will give us a deficiency for not doing things like we are supposed to. There is a website that can help you search for a daycare, and it will show you how many deficiencies they have, or if they have been closed down. We have a lot of child protection that will keep the kids from getting hurt…
Children are full of tricks when it comes to negotiating wether it be with candy, what they want to wear, where they want to go for the day, or how they think they should be punished. A nanny is job in which one cares for children in the comfort of their own home. That being said there are several situations where the nanny needs to quickly think about how to resolve a situation and usually this ends in compromising with the child to make sure that both the rules are being followed but also so that the child thinks they have some sort of control of the situation. Another aspect of this job is communicating with the parents and trying to negotiate what is the best solutions for the many occurrences that will take place through the duration of this job.…
Someone who is considered a childcare worker generally works with small children when their parents or family members aren’t available, in the child’s own home or in daycares or preschools. Most often, their responsibilities involve basic tasks like preparing meals, schedules, routines, making sure the child maintains good hygiene and has enough time for physical activity as well as enough time for rest, and organizes activities that will assist with growth whether physically, socially, or intellectually. Ultimately, the job of a child care worker is to record and analyze the progress and the interests of the children they are working with.…
