From Thesis to Essay Writing: Mini-Q Essay Outline Guide

Working Title – Create your own title for the essay (Ex. – GA Colony: Success or Failure?)

Paragraph #1 – Introduction Paragraph
Grabber – “Hook” (something to get the reader’s attention)

Background – Background information about the topic (lectures, notes, books, etc.) – Information about why GA was created!
Stating the question with key terms defined – Based on the reasons for settlement, as stated in the Charter of 1732, was the Georgia colony a success or failure? (Define Charter… and discuss reasons for settlement: Charity, Economics, and Defense)
Thesis and road map – Thesis statement (look at the Chicken Foot for your Thesis!) Paragraph #2 – Charity Paragraph
