For the most part, Dachau is located in Southern Germany Munich. In the early 1930's, Nazi Germany began establishing many death camps and intended to hold political prisoners; they were sent to make a large complex. By 1937, the SS, using prisoners labor, began construction of a large complex of buildings on the ground of the original camp. In any event, (Americans found more than 30 railroad cars filled with bodies in various states of decomposition). In the camp there were dead bodies and 30,000 survivors. They reported that 30ss guards were killed. The town of Dachau were later forced to bury 9,000 dead inmates found at the camp. The Americans liberated all the prisoners from the camp. One of the more well-known victims of the Holocaust is Gitta Nagel. She was a Holocaust survivor who lived in Krosno, Poland.
