He discusses many times how he just wants to be well liked and remembered as a salesman. This shows he has a dream and he wants to achieve it no matter what happens. Willy has trouble with coming to reality with life. He tends to let his dreams overrule the aspects that should be the main focus. As he worries about his job and if people like him or not there are more important things. His insanity clouds his mind in a way that troubles him from seeing reality in front of him.
