Definition Essay On Hero
Often time’s people think of heroes as a fictional character with superpowers like spider-man, superman or iron man. I define hero as someone who put other needs before them self, someone who risk their life to save other. ''A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to preserve and endure in spite of oncoming obstacle"- (Christopher Reeve). When I think of a true definition of a hero it will definitely not be someone with superpower and super strength it will be someone who finds courage in their heart to help others. Heroes comes in different size and shapes. Hero can also be defined in many different ways, there are a lot of qualities that describe a hero like, respect, courage, strength, and integrity.

This is why I decided to choose my aunt as my hero. My aunt (watta Morris) is my hero, because during tough times she stood by my side and gives me good advice. As time went by my 8 grade years came to an end. I had to attend high school and my aunt was always there for me. She never gives up on me she provided for me and care about my well beign. When I was living in the east coast I was very unhappy, stress out and had so much anxiety. One Sunday I talk to my aunt and she told me she got me a plane tickets to go live with her in North Dakota. I moved to North Dakota and I couldn’t be any happier. If it wasn’t for my aunt I would still be living in Lowell Massachusetts very unhappy. When I moved to North Dakota I lived with my aunt and my cousins. She’s a single mother that work 12 hours overnight shift and she still manage to show us the love we deserve, every day we come home to love and a cooked meal. She also manage to go back to school and finish her RPN in nursing. She never fails to show us the love we deserve.     Not a lot of people can go through numerous situations such as these at once and remain as optimistic as her. Throughout her entire life, her family faced financial struggles yet she appreciated what she had and focused on improving their situation without sulking about it. Despite the fact that her husband’s death devastated her and happened too soon, instead of taking the time to feel sorry for herself, she chose a path to provide her and her daughters a positive outlook on life and give them hope that everything would be okay. Considering that women in the 1950s generally did not work jobs that could support a family, her persistence in finding a job that supplied her with enough money gives me another reason to admire her because it proves her strength and dedication to family.
