Respect can be earned and looked at in many ways. One of the definitions of respect is a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something by their abilities, qualities or achievements. Another way to look respect is helping others, listening to everyone’s ideas, and ask others if they need help. In my opinion, there are many different ways to look at the word “respect”.
This word has more meaning than what the definition has for us. Many people think of respect as a simple thing as to treating a person the way you want to be treated, but there is a whole twist to the word respect. The different types of respect are self-respect, respect for elders, respecting those under you, respect of authority, respect of honor. This word is so strong it builds everyone in the world, and not just that, It also

It may take months or years to gain strong trust for someone. It may be easier for some, but very hard for others due to the fact they can’t trust or respect others before they trust and respect themselves. Everyone needs to feel good about themselves in order to get along with others. When someone doesn’t feel good about themselves, that person speaks and acts in negative ways that hurt others. These actions will lead to the person getting hurt showing disrespect to the person that is hurting them.
Respect isn’t just about growing up in elementary school and learning how to respect others and be kind to them. If this wasn’t taught to children, they would never know what self-respect is, and it would make it even more difficult for them to make new friends. It is a very important characteristic in everyone. Respect is so important because if it isn’t taught at an early age because if a person does not respect people throughout their lives they will not be admired by anyone, and over time they will grow up disrespecting everyone. This will cause others to have attitudes and can sometimes ruin their

From past experiences I have learned the real meaning of respect. This word is more powerful than one can imagine. With respect comes unselfishness. When people respect others, they are treated equally. My mother and father always told me to be tactful in the way I treated others, so I would also be respected. It has worked in the past and will always hold true in the future. If someone respects another with proper judgment, people feel good inside which gives them a sense of integrity. When I give respect and witness how it makes others feel, I feel like more of a person. I feel proud. Honored.…

Respect is a word that has a lot of depth to it no matter what way you use it. The word by definition is kinda hard to pin down concretely because it is so subjective and it can be used in many different ways with many different meanings based on the usage. It is a word that everybody wants a piece of no matter how big or small the piece they get is. All definitions aside, the respect that most people want is the respect that is earned by the showing of honorable actions or personality characteristics. Be it dedication and sacrifices for ones job or ones moral and ethical views and principles. These are examples of some traits a person can earn respect from normally. I say “Normally” because in all facets of life respect is almost always something to be earned and given on a personal level. My personal view is that showing respect is more a statement about us than those to whom we show it. Others may or may not merit our respect, but giving others their dignity protects our integrity and honor. We can set limits, but we do not have to stoop to gross behavior to protect…

What does respect mean to you? To me, respect means following the golden rule. It means treating others with kindness, love, generosity, and having polite manners. “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” That is the golden rule, is it not? Who wouldn’t want to be treated with kindness? Who wouldn’t want to be around someone with manners and cleanliness? Respect is being considerate to others and their feelings and beliefs. Respect isn’t just for others though, you need to respect yourself as well; take care of yourself and be presentable. If you would like to be treated with respect, you, first, need to learn to respect yourself and others. Once that is accomplished, others will learn to respect you.…

    The Importance Of Respect

Why can’t respect be seen as treat others in the way they should be treated and not just based upon the way the other person treat them? This is why patience is a virtue when it comes to respect. People often lose tempers when they feel disrespected because even though their definition is different, everyone feels they deserve it even if their means of giving it are not always right. Giving respect to a person gives them a sense of self-worth and it makes them feel like they are of value to someone or something. Respect gives people a sense of purpose in the lives of others and the line between the opposite should not be so thin. It may be easier for people to understand respect if they first understand the true value of the term and why it is so important. Point is no one likes to be disrespected and from this point of view makes it the easiest position for people to understand why it is important. Everyone at one time or another in their lives have been guilty of decreasing the level of respect for people they either don’t know, feel that they are less important, or people that don’t meet their standard for…
