“Take out the trash!” My mom screeched from the kitchen. I slowly shimmied my way toward the door. I was extremely tired, we had a football game and I tried my hardest. We actually won. But anyway I scurried the rest of the way toward the door. When I then totally forgot what my mom said grabbed my towel and headed straight for the shower. “Dang you're so lazy” my mom said with steam rushing her face from my hot shower. I also remember another time I was called “lazy” but it was way worse. It was when I was just a little kid about 8 years old. And my neighbors window got broken into. So then my neighbors right away blamed us. They called us a bunch of “lazy Mexicans”. They even called the cops on us even though we didn’t do it. The word lazy actually comes from low Germany. We are not lazy because of the hours we put in working in the fields. I remember my grandpa saying that sometimes he'll leave 5:00 am and come back like 8:00 pm.
