A Good Movie Everybody has different opinions on what a good movie is. I consider a good movie to be inspirational, unpredictable, and also having a good plot. A good movie to me is inspirational. The Pursuit of Happiness is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever seen. Not only is it inspirational, but it is also a true story. The main character goes from being homeless with a kid, to being a millionaire. It makes me want to watch it over and over again. Forest Gump is another great example of a good movie. The main character experiences so much throughout his life. A lot of it was not good. No matter how bad things got, he always stayed positive and kept moving on with his life. Movies like this can motivate people to keep fighting for what they want in life. Not only are these movies, but they can also be life lessons. Good movies like these keep me going sometimes. A good movie is also unpredictable. Movies are terrible when a person can tell what will happen throughout the whole movie. I don’t think love stories are good movies because they are predictable. Two people meet each other, they fall in love, they get into a big fight, they make up, and they live happy ever after. Unpredictable movies keep people interested throughout the movie. Thrillers are great examples of this. There are movies that I have seen where I have said, “ I never saw that coming” or “ I cannot believe that person was the killer.” A good plot is what makes a good movie. The movie Inception has a great plot. A person watching this movie has to pay attention throughout the whole movie to really understand the whole thing. I could watch this movie multiple times. The movie Buried has an awful plot, which makes it a terrible movie. It only has one character and one single setting which is in a box. The Mission Impossible movies are good in my opinion. They have scenes that are in multiple parts of the world. The plot is great and their missions and plans are amazing.

There's no doubt that Citizen Kane is a great movie. It is a pioneering film that forever changed film making. Its plot is one of the most creative and original in all of movie history. The cinematography is stunning. Citizen Kane is about those images that we all reflect and project, the sum total of which -the impressions we make on other people- are all we that leave behind us. That central, unsolveable riddle of personality is at the core of what makes Citizen Kane so endlessly watchable.…

Films that I particularly favor are thrillers. One reason Thrillers become so enjoyable for me, a sense of diversion is created making the viewers more indulge in the movie all the way to the ending. The plots are usually twisted, climatic, suspenseful and intelligence is often use far as the writing perspective to result in an ecliptic viewing of the movie. A really great thriller will usually bring a shock factor by the climax, then the movie will receive a better understanding from the beginning to end. Another genre of films I enjoy are Musicals they are fashionable and express emotions through singing. I am really into lyricism so I enjoy comparing the actual expression of the each character's individual story and the progression…

Is it characters, the storyline, or overall message that makes a movie great? There have been numerous movies made, but just a few have had a sincere impact on people. A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story did just that. It is about a transgender teenage and his amazing journey to self discovery to live life as a woman. It is a true based television movie the premiere in 2006 on Lifetime Movie Network. It is starring JD Pardo as the main character Eddie/Gwen Araujo and Mercedes Ruehl as his mother Sylvia Guerrero. This true based movie works, because it keeps the view’s attention up to the end.…

In the Declaration of Independence it states that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to liberty in my opinion is being able to do as one pleases. Not having to ask our parents for permission to go out, or having to have a curfew to get home. Listening and following directions from our parents is not liberty. It is not satisfying, and definitely not doing as one pleases. Liberty is having freedom. Being controlled by our parents is not having self control of ourselves and our lives. We should be allowed to do what we want, whenever we want to. In the Declaration of Independence the right to liberty is any basic right or freedom to which all human beings are entitled and in whose exercise a government may not interfere (including rights to life and liberty as well as freedom of thought and expression and equality before the law) (Free dictionary). We have the right to think and act on our own judgement. Having the right to liberty is the same as having the right to your life. It is your life, therefor we have the power and liberty to do what you want. The word liberty comes from libertarian, in 1789 the meaning to libertarian was one who hold the doctrine of free will. Liberty, with its root in Latin, had its origin in words for "unrestricted," "independence," and "separation." Liberty separated one from the mass of enslaved humanity and made one independent. My meaning to the meaning people used back then in 1789 is similar to the fact that people have the right to their own freedom. They have the power to be free. In a modern dictionary the meaning of the word liberty means freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice. I believe the meaning used today to define liberty is freedom from control. It is meaningful today because people do as they please now. They are free in will and do…

The word jealousy stems from both the French word jalousie and the Greek word zelos. The French term of jealousy carried a negative feeling while the Greek term carried more of a positive sense. Jealousy’s definition stands as an emotion that typically comes from insecurity, fear, and anxiety over a predictable loss of something that a person values.
