Describe When Your Expectations Influenced Your Attributions About Another Person

Describe when your own expectations influenced your attributions about another person. The person in which my personal expectations influenced my attributions goes by the name of David Buster. Mr. Buster was a director with my current employer when he hired me as a supervisor. I worked for David for two years before he retired and I moved on to my current position as manager. He offered me my first opportunity in management when I had no managerial experience, and prepared me to be the executive manager I am today. Personally, I am an individual that has a need for cognition, as I have a bad habit of replaying past experiences in my head repeatedly. I would like to believe that I am an entity theorist, although my actions suggest that I am an incremental theorist - I tend to always give people the benefit of doubt in hopes that they will change. Finally, I have a positive attributional style, which explains my confident and perseverant nature in everything that I do.
My initial expectations of David Buster were the same as many others that worked with him. It was said by many that Mr. Buster was very loud, highly obnoxious, and extremely disrespectful. Once I formally met David, my opinion of him fell in line with this line of thinking, as I not only felt he was loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful, he also possessed an unpleasant demeanor and tone which made him an intimidating figure to work
