A Park By The Memory Lane
As I was growing up I had the fortune to travel different countries and being away from the home country for educational purposes since 2010, I also got to experience a lots of different cultures, environment and places. It’s really confusing for me if someone asks me to describe the most pleasant place in my list out of all these places I have ever been. After giving it much thought I finally made my decision. The most pleasant place in my diary would be ‘Bipin Park’ in my home town ‘Mymensingh’; one of the biggest cities in Bangladesh.
Being the only son of the family, I was always at the center of attention. My uncle, Aziz, 6 years older than me, used to live with us while he was attending college. From 2001-2004, these four years he was my best friend, partner in crimes. He always thought of him as my elder brother not my uncle. He played a very important role to help me become the person I am today. Soccer is his life and so is mine. During weekdays at 3:30pm he used to go to the park for practice. He played as the Right wing for a local club called ‘Abahoni Football Club’. I used to be the one carrying his duffle bag as I used to go with him all the time. Soccer and my uncle Aziz isn’t the only two things that come to my mind when I think of Bipin Park, there is more. Brahmaputra River, Sarinda Café, 17 small tea stalls, many street food vendors and snack shops, boats will colorful sail on the river, the homeless artist ‘Jamal’ and etc. all these elements give character to this park. May be I am writing about Bipin Park as my most pleasant place because a whole lots of good memories had been made in this place but I disagree to admit so. I mean it could be a very good reason but that’s not the main reason for me to choose this as the most pleasant place.
The park has two standard sized soccer fields, 4 volleyball courts. Right beside the soccer
